Well, 11th plus 15 segment points gives him a decent points day. Larson is beginning to look dominant out there. Uses the other cars to his own advantage and carries a lot of speed in his own car. I don't see a better driver out there this year and this could last for several years to come. As for Matt, this is looking like his swan song year. He has looked as good as Larson through many stretches in his past. :cuss:

Young guys are figuring out the side drafting and restarts.

Matt really screwed the pooch today in the pits. Just don't see him getting a contract with jgr. I'm left hoping he can grab the 77 next year, otherwise he becomes another Greg biffle and simply disappears.

Larson had a great car, but Matt should have been top 5. Terrible year when you are trying to keep your ride.

Maybe matt knows something we don't. Junior is on his last year and driving like crap. Maybe Matt is pushing so hard because he won't be back??

I love the guy, but he is really screwing up lately. Terrible restarts, terrible decisions, and put road screwups...........

I pray I'm wrong.

I've been hearing rumors that Matt may wind up in the #5 next year ... Kahne is a good candidate to get the boot, and Matt could be the fill in guy until one of Hendrick's younger drivers are ready. It's just been internet rumors that I've seen, but the guy that's saying it has hit on some scoops in the past. He nailed the Carl Edwards retirement weeks before it happened. A change of scenery might do Matt well .. he and Jimmie are very tight these days, so it might make for a good match.

The switch from Ford to Toyota was hard enough. Finishing his career at Hendrick?!! That would be a challenge. LOL
New team, new year, new attitude. I feel a Championship coming on!!!
