Matt drove his butt off for 4th. Good run today .. nice showing. The 2 tire call probably cost us at least 2 spots .. maybe the win.

Matt give the#11 a little love tap there?

Woulda Coulda Shoulda. Still some winnable races out there. On to Indy.

That was the best Matt has driven a car all year. Jason should know that Matt always needs 4 feel goods when he knows most of the field will also need them. At least Jason manned up and told Matt he was at fault because the way Matt drove, he would have beaten them all on 4 tires. Sorry, but Truex was looking beatable over the last 150 laps or so. Great points day for Matt! we gain on Joey and pass Bowyer in the standings, even though Denny took another points racer out of it.

Well at least now being 52 points to the good helps relieve the disappointment a little.
New team, new year, new attitude. I feel a Championship coming on!!!

Pretty sure we would have got the W if we finish that last stop off with 2 more tires. Matt said he knew they were cooked when they fired out of the stall and there was nobody behind him. Knowing how important new tires was I consider it a huge mistake by Ratcliff. 2 points behind Bowyer .. if we can pass him up we should be safe, but winning a race has become the name of the game. I think we let one get away today.

I do think 2 tires made winning next to impossible, BUT I also think there is a big assumption being made as to where Matt would've been in the lineup if they took 4, but I seriously doubt he would've lined up 2nd. As of late, Matt tends to come out of these late race pit stops in not so great shape. If Matt comes out of there 8th, I'm not so sure he would've made it through the traffic to the front. They needed 4 tires and a great pit stop. We'll never know of course. I do wish Jason had taken the risk and put it on the pit crew to get 4 on there and send Matt out with shot at it. Just don't believe a win was going to be as 'automatic' with 4 tires as it's being made out. JMHO.

Matt was the fastest car on track before the yellow. I think 4 tires could've won us that race, even if we came out of the pits 2nd.

I feel good about Indy. Matt has never finished worse than 7th here since he joined Gibbs. His last four finishes have been 2nd, 7th, 4th, and 5th. NHMS didn't work out but maybe Indy will.
